Cosa fare in una domenica di gennaio a Lucca? Passeggiare tra una mostra e l’altra e viaggiare nell’Oriente del Lucca Photo Fest

Il Lucca Photo Fest, festival internazionale di fotografia, continua ad attrarre pubblico con le quattro mostre ancora aperte fino al 29 gennaio. Un viaggio nell’Asia più mistica e affascinante con le fotografie del grande maestro giapponese Kenro Izu, un protagonista della scena mondiale cha ha sedotto pubblico e critica con le sue opere e la sua straordinaria umanità. Dalle eteree vedute in bianco e nero dei templi e paesaggi di Izu, alla Tokyo di Francesco Jodice, colorata, dinamica, moderna: fotografie in grande formato che svelano l’anima poliedrica della megalopoli giapponese E poi ancora, l’arte concettuale, visionaria, fantastica dell’artista cinese Lin Tian Miao con la mostra Here Or There? creata per la biennale d’arte di Shanghai del 2002.

Il reportage è invece protagonista di Looking East, 120 foto che celebrano il decennale della VII Photo Agency, l’agenzia di fotogiornalismo più importante del mondo, che ha coprodotto con il Lucca Photo Fest questa mostra, presentata in anteprima mondiale a Lucca.

Le mostre di Kenro Izu, Francesco Jodice e Lin tian Miao sono a Palazzo Ducale, mentre quella dell’agenzia VII è allestita a Palazzo Guinigi. Le mostre sono aperte il pomeriggio dal martedì al venerdì, mentre il sabato e la domenica sono aperte anche al mattino. Chiuse invece il lunedì.

Per tutti gli appassionati di fotografia il Lucca Photo Fest ricorda che sono aperte le iscrizioni per i corsi della LUCCA PHOTO SCHOOL, di primo e secondo livello, che avranno inizio a partire dal prossimo 7 febbraio.

What to do in Lucca on a Sunday of January? Just walk from an exhibition to another “travelling” in the East of Lucca Photo Fest.

 

The Lucca Phot Fest, International festival of Photography, stills attracts much public with the four exhibitions that will be opened till next January the 29th. A sort of journey through the most spiritual, fascinating Asia of Kenro Izu’s photos, the great Japanese master who has seduced the Festival public and critics, thanks to his artworks and his extraordinary humanity. From his ethereal black and white temples and landscapes, to the coloured, dynamic contemporary Tokyo by Francesco Jodice: big size photos that disclose the multifaceted soul of the Japanese megalopolis. Then the conceptual, visionary, fantastic art of the Chinese Lin Tian Miao with her exhibition Here? Or There? created for the 2002 Shanghai Art Biennial.

Reportage is the focus of “VII Looks East”: 120 pictures celebrating the tenth anniversary of the most important agency of photojournalism of the world, VII PHOTOS AGENCY. The exhibition, presented in Lucca as a word première, is coproduced by VII Photos and Lucca Photo fest.

The exhibitions by Kenro Izu, Francesco Jodice and Lin Tian Miao are located in Palazzo Ducale, while the VII Photos Agency’s one is in Palazzo Guinigi, both the venues are in the city centre of Lucca and are opened on the afternoons from Monday tom Friday and in the mornings too during the weekends. Monday closed.
